Hello, I’m Shannon.
I’ve been in the fitness industry since 1992. I began as a fitness instructor teaching Step Aerobics, Cardio Kickboxing, Spinning, Hi/Low Aerobics, and Strength Training. Later I began to teach Mat Pilates and then realized the great benefits it could offer to the people I taught.
My certifications include:

Pilates (along with my dance background) gave me a deeper understanding of proper form, body mechanics, balance, and stretching techniques. All of this has given me a keen insight into how the human body works – and has led to years of experience helping clients reach similar insights about their own bodies.
I’ve collaborated with physical therapists to continue patients’ recovery to strengthen weaknesses due to surgery – whether it be through postural analysis, functional and corrective training, or post-recovery joint injuries and stabilization. I’ve also worked with professional athletes in sports conditioning, addressing bad habits developed in the field that can lead to injuries if left uncorrected.
